NAA releases call for commitments from election candidates

The Neurological Alliance Australia (NAA) has released a list of nine commitments they are calling on federal election candidates to pledge their support for during the current election campaign.

The NAA seeks commitments from candidates from all sides of politics to address the urgent needs of adults and children living with progressive neurological or neuromuscular diseases in Australia.

The nine commitments they are seeking are:
1. Invest in funding for medical research
2. Address NDIS implementation problems
3. Stop young people entering residential aged care
4. Provide housing options
5. Ensure equal access to assistive technology
6. Stop excessive levels of out-of-pocket expenses
7. Improve the quality of aged care
8. Invest in neurological nurse positions
9. Introduce care pathways and sector integration
